Evie’s Cabs: A Local Booking System Built for a Small Budget

Custom quote system · Local ads · Google Business growth

Project overview

The story at a glance

A custom airport-transfer booking journey and tightly targeted local ads created a steady flow of quotes and bookings for a new private-hire brand.

Evie’s Cabs was a new consumer-facing venture created by an experienced taxi operator. The business wanted to sell airport transfers, business hire and private-hire journeys without committing to a large launch budget. Front Row Social focused investment on the two things most likely to create traction: a usable booking journey and location-specific advertising.

A practical launch for a new consumer taxi brand

Evie’s Cabs was a new consumer-facing venture created by an experienced taxi operator. The business wanted to sell airport transfers, business hire and private-hire journeys without committing to a large launch budget.

Front Row Social focused investment on the two things most likely to create traction: a usable booking journey and location-specific advertising.

The challenge

The website needed to provide meaningful airport-transfer quotes using passenger numbers, addresses, destinations and pricing zones. It also needed to retain unbooked quotes so the team could follow up.

As a new brand, Evie’s Cabs had limited reviews and needed to build local trust gradually.

Our approach

A custom WordPress plugin captures journey details, calculates a quote, emails the customer and saves the enquiry in the website dashboard. Confirmed bookings are sent to the client and added to a shared Google Calendar for drivers.

Ads began around Dorchester and Weymouth before expanding to Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. Each video opened with a direct location call-out and a clear airport-transfer price.

During the first three summer months, the campaign generated roughly one quote per day at about £6 per quote and two to three bookings per week at a reported £10 to £15 cost per booking.

Out of season, the system has continued to produce daily quotes and around one to two weekly bookings while the business builds reviews and social proof.

A quote journey built around airport transfers

Customers enter their address, airport and passenger count to receive a useful quote without waiting for a manual response.

Every unbooked quote remains visible

Saved enquiries give the team a follow-up pipeline rather than losing visitors who did not book immediately.

Local hooks for local audiences

Separate creative calls out Dorchester, Weymouth, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole so each advert feels relevant to the viewer.

The takeaway

Small-budget marketing with a clear route to revenue

The project shows how a focused build can give a new local business the same essentials as a larger operator: instant quotes, follow-up visibility and measurable advertising.
